Do I need a Legionella risk assessment review?

A Legionella risk assessment is a live document, which should be kept up to date.
In order to comply with British Standard BS8580-1:2019 and ACoP L8, risk assessments should be reviewed regularly.
A Legionella risk assessment needs to be reviewed every 1-3 years depending upon the level of risk and as soon as practical if any of the following changes are implemented:

A change to your water system or water source.
An alteration in the use of the building where the water system is housed.
New or updated information on standards for risk and control measures is released.
A change in the management of Legionella risk control measures.
When construction work is expected to be carried out on the building.

In comparison to a building's first full risk assessment, a review is a comprehensive overview of this existing information to ensure it is up to date and control measures are effective.
